​We've contracted on numerous projects offering full-service hospitality consulting including concept development, interior design, bar & food menu development, graphic design, branding, operational support, staff training, and new restaurant openings.  
DESIGN  RENDERINGS: 

O'Cado Vegan Restaurant + Wine Bar

Assisted with interior design and concept development, created the full bar menu and assisted with food menu development. Designed the menu layouts, hired and trained all staff.  Supported the owner with opening weekend as a floor manager.

 1894 Wine Bar @ Vroman's Bookstore

Project Scope:  Developed menus; wine, craft beer, food and cocktails and also designed the menu layout. The shell design/build-out  of the wine bar space was already in place but Bentley helped finalize the concept and bring it all together. She assisted the company with final building permits and licensing, hired and trained staff, finalized the website and worked on marketing campaigns.

Vroman's 1894 Wine Bar Concept Presentation: 

The Proper Restaurant & Bar 

Located in La Canada, CA. Website: https://www.properrestaurant.com/

Project Scope:  Bentley joined The Proper as GM for their new restaurant opening. The owners purchased a failed restaurant and flipped the concept keeping the same name. Bentley developed the full bar menu and also designed menu layouts for food, bar, and happy hour menus. During the opening phases Bentley also assisted with food menu development before a chef was hired. She also hired and trained all front of house staff.  The design for the renovation was already contracted out before Bentley came on board,  but she assisted with final touches and concept cohesiveness.

ABOUT Bentley Hale

Restaurant consultant, Bentley Hale, brings over twenty years of restaurant industry experience to the table. ​For the past four years Bentley has specialized in new restaurant openings assisting owners with full concept development, design, food and beverage menu development, and operational support. In addition to her consulting career, Bentley has extensive management experience working with both corporate and privately-owned companies holding positions in General Manager and Food & Beverage Director roles.

Hosting staff wine training seminars, creating wine lists with pairing menus, and planning exclusive wine event dinners throughout her management career helped Bentley realize her passion for wine education. Bentley’s enthusiasm for teaching others about wine led her to start Sip Happens Wine School which focuses on making wine education practical and fun.  She hosts wine classes along with food and wine pairing cooking workshops at various restaurants throughout Los Angeles. 

Bentley began working in the restaurant industry at the age of 15 where she was introduced to the professional side of the food and beverage industry. Her hands-on experiences have included: dishwasher, bus girl, hostess, server, bartender, and wine sales. Bentley continued working her way up to training manager as well as corporate restaurant and private club management where she gained invaluable experience both in front-of-house and back-of-house kitchen operations.

Alongside working in the restaurant industry, Bentley graduated from the Art Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Her graduate thesis focused on restaurant design and marketing.
